CryptoZilla — AML & KYC Policy
Last updated: 15.10.2025
Introduction
CryptoZilla is a non-custodial, cross-chain cryptocurrency exchange platform.
We do not hold user funds, store private keys, or process fiat payments. All transactions occur directly between users and blockchain networks.
Although CryptoZilla does not operate as a financial intermediary, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and compliance with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) principles.
This AML/KYC Policy describes how CryptoZilla identifies, mitigates, and prevents potential risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illegal financial activities.
When applicable, CryptoZilla cooperates with competent third-party AML/KYC providers to perform checks in accordance with international best practices and FATF recommendations.
1. Purpose of the Policy
The goal of this Policy is to protect both users and the Platform from any attempt to misuse CryptoZilla for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to:
- money laundering,
- terrorism financing,
- fraud or scams,
- and transactions connected with prohibited goods or services.
CryptoZilla applies a risk-based approach and partners with specialized compliance providers when verification or enhanced due diligence is required.
2. Warning
CryptoZilla strictly prohibits the use of its services for:
- the legalization of criminal proceeds or terrorism financing,
- fraudulent or deceptive schemes,
- purchasing or distributing illegal goods or services,
- concealing or disguising the origin of illicit funds.
CryptoZilla, its team, and its partners are not responsible for any misuse of the Platform by third parties.
However, CryptoZilla undertakes all reasonable and available measures to prevent the use of its services for such purposes.
3. User Requirements
To maintain a safe and compliant environment, the following requirements apply to all exchange requests (“Requests”):
- 3.1. The sender and the recipient of any transaction must be the same person. Transfers on behalf of third parties are prohibited.
- 3.2. All data provided by users (such as contact details or wallet addresses) must be accurate and current.
- 3.3. The use of anonymous tools (VPNs, TOR, proxy networks) to conceal identity or location during transactions is not permitted.
- 3.4. CryptoZilla reserves the right to restrict or block access to the Platform for users suspected of violating these requirements.
4. Risk-Based Approach and Verification
CryptoZilla does not perform KYC or AML checks directly but may rely on competent third-party providers when such verification is legally required or when a transaction is deemed high-risk.
Situations that may trigger verification include:
- abnormal transaction volume or frequency;
- high-risk jurisdictions or addresses flagged by sanctions databases;
- use of privacy-enhancing tools (e.g., mixers, tumblers);
- reports or alerts from partner analytics systems.
When a verification is necessary, users may be asked — via our compliance partner — to provide:
- proof of identity (passport, ID card);
- proof of ownership or source of funds;
- video or image verification;
- blockchain transaction evidence (hash, addresses, timestamps).
All verifications are performed securely by licensed third-party compliance vendors in accordance with their respective privacy and data protection policies.
5. Cooperation with AML/KYC Providers
CryptoZilla cooperates only with reputable, specialized AML service providers that use advanced blockchain analytics, sanctions screening, and identity verification technologies.
Such providers may include (but are not limited to):
AMLBot, Crystal Blockchain, Scorechain, SumSub, Chainalysis, or other trusted partners.
CryptoZilla ensures that:
- no sensitive data (e.g., documents, videos, personal identifiers) is stored on our servers;
- all verifications are performed directly through the provider’s secure systems;
- data shared for compliance purposes is limited, encrypted, and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Monitoring and Behavioral Analysis
CryptoZilla employs automated and manual monitoring systems to identify suspicious activity, including:
- blockchain address risk scoring (sanctions, darknet, fraud links);
- transaction pattern analysis (frequency, velocity, direction);
- behavioral anomalies compared to typical usage patterns.
Our systems are designed to detect potential abuse while maintaining user privacy and decentralization principles.
No personal data is collected beyond what is necessary for compliance actions.
7. Sanctions Screening
CryptoZilla uses automated tools to check transactions and wallet addresses against recognized international sanctions lists, including:
- OFAC (U.S. Department of Treasury),
- United Nations Consolidated List,
- European Union restrictive measures.
These checks are conducted automatically and anonymously, without storing personally identifiable information, except when required for AML investigations.
9. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All data collected in connection with AML or KYC procedures — whether by CryptoZilla or a third-party compliance provider — is handled confidentially and securely.
- No personal data is disclosed to unauthorized parties.
- Employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
- The duty of confidentiality continues even after the end of employment or partnership.
- Information sharing with authorized compliance partners does not constitute a breach of confidentiality if used solely for AML/KYC purposes.
For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Service Limitation and Denial
CryptoZilla reserves the right to delay, suspend, or refuse processing of any transaction that appears suspicious or inconsistent with this Policy.
In such cases:
- processing may be temporarily delayed (not “held”) while risk assessment or external verification is performed;
- users will be notified if additional verification is required;
- service may be denied to any user who fails to cooperate with a legitimate compliance request.
11. Compliance Oversight
An internal Compliance Representative oversees adherence to this Policy, monitors partner performance, and ensures that all AML-related processes are effectively implemented.
The representative may interact with law enforcement and external providers to ensure regulatory cooperation when required.
12. Updates and Transparency
This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect evolving legal standards, FATF recommendations, or operational changes.
The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Users are encouraged to review it regularly.
13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
CryptoZilla operates as a non-custodial platform and does not have access to or control over user funds.
We cannot reverse blockchain transactions or freeze assets.
While CryptoZilla takes all reasonable measures to prevent illegal use of the Platform, we are not legally responsible for misuse by third parties.
By using the Platform, users agree to this Policy and undertake to comply with its provisions.
